I was thinking since my narrative relates to neurons firing more efficiently through altered consciousness, i would use an illustration like this one to develop my floor plans. The large yellow spots for exhibt rooms and the red like web as circulation. Oh I should mention that this is a photo of neurons, the thick red carries the process' to other neuron clusters. I like the idea of using the IMAGE of neurons as generator of design in your case - HOWEVER, neurons are 3 dimensional things - why not design the SPACE and not the floor plan based on the actual 3 dimensional thing, and not the flattened 2d version.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a really interesting idea. Maybe there is a way to utilize some of the existing silos as branches of neurons...or perhaps every exhibit room has a silo above/below that extends to another room like the branches? I dunno, just throwing ideas out there. I definitely like where this is going!
